MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were found dead Friday morning following a house fire in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
The blaze broke out around 9 a.m. at a home in the 10800 block of Southwest 67th Drive.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the fire was intense enough to require at least 18 units to respond.
Authorities later confirmed that two unidentified people were found dead inside the home once the flames were extinguished. Their ages and identities have not yet been released.

Given the layout of the structure, they said firefighters faced challenges locating and extinguishing several spot fires throughout the home before putting out the blaze.
Sky 10 flew over the scene just after 10 a.m., where a body appeared to be covered by a yellow tarp near a pool in the back of the home.
A mother and her two children approached investigators at the scene, visibly distraught and repeatedly asking if the people inside the home had made it out safely.
Neighbors said they were shocked by the fire and the deaths.
“My grandmother bought a house in this neighborhood before any of this was built. Stuff like this doesn’t happen here,” said longtime resident Laurie Mouldin. “To lose everything that fast, I feel sorry for these people.”
Authorities said the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death for the victims.
The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
