South Florida relief drives mobilize aid for Milton victims

AVENTURA, Fla. – In a coordinated effort to aid Hurricane Milton victims, South Florida relief drives are mobilizing essential supplies with the support of local agencies and organizations.

In Fort Lauderdale Monday morning, Salvation Army Fort Lauderdale team member Sandrea Levy readied her Rapid Response Unit, donated by the Florida Panthers as she deployed along with a truck stocked with hurricane relief supplies to the Tampa and Sarasota area to help those affected by Hurricane Milton.

While at the Aventura Mall, several law enforcement agencies partnered with the Global Empowerment Mission, Good Greek Moving & Storage, and Mobile Mike Media Relations to collect the in-demand items.

The drive Monday and Tuesday is located at the Aventura Mall, near the the Apple Store. It moves to Pembroke Pines on Wednesday and Thursday.

The event runs through 10 p.m. Monday and starts up again at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
