FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Officials with Broward County Public Schools joined their counterparts in Miami-Dade on Monday in announcing upcoming school closures due to Hurricane Milton.
BCPS schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday in anticipation of the storm, according to the district.

Schools will be open on Tuesday but district offices will be closed at 4 p.m. “and all after-school activities, including evening classes, after school care and supper services are canceled,” according to a social media post from the district.
Officials said, “We anticipate resuming normal operations on Friday, October 11.”
