Police say a 17-year-old boy slipped and fell to his death this weekend while climbing a Los Angeles bridge in an apparent social media stunt.

MIAMI – A bridge in Miami was temporarily shut down Wednesday morning after a man fell to his death. Sky 10 was above the area of 450 South Miami Avenue at 6:30 a.m. as several police cars were parked on the bridge and below it. Miami police later confirmed that the victim, identified only as a man, appeared to have fallen from the bridge. Witnesses told officers that the man was riding a bicycle and attempted to overtake the drawbridge as it was opening. The bridge, which connects downtown Miami and the Brickell areas, was closed in both directions as detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.

MIAMI – The Venetian Causeway east bridge is currently closed, according to reports. The bridge is closed because the road is currently stuck in an upright position and won’t come down. Drivers are advised to use the Julia Tuttle Causeway.
