One victim left her purse in an unlocked gym locker and the other in the car, according to deputies.

Both cases were on Tuesday. In a 2:30 p.m. case at Planet Fitness in Westchester, the victim reported finding Brito in her car.

Sweetwater police officers arrested Brito on Thursday afternoon after a traffic stop at Southwest Eighth Street and 107 Avenue, records show.

In the Westchester case, Brito faced charges of attempted grand theft, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, and petit theft.

In the Kendall case, Brito faced charges of attempted burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, criminal mischief, and battery.
