Motorcyclist airlifted after crash in Hialeah Gardens

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. ā€“ A motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center early Tuesday morning following a crash involving a car in Hialeah Gardens, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Authorities said the crash was reported just before 6 a.m. and involved a motorcycle and a car near the intersection of Okeechobee Road and Northwest 116th Way.

MDFR said first responders declared one person a trauma alert and transported the motorcyclist by helicopter to a nearby trauma center for treatment.

Video from Sky 10 showed medics pushing the motorcyclist onto a gurney before the victim was airlifted to the hospital.

Authorities have not released further details about the motorcyclistā€™s age, gender, condition, or the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The crash isnā€™t expected to cause any traffic delays at this time.
