MIAMI – A man out on bond for threatening to leak his ex-girlfriend’s nude photos unless she bought him new clothes is now facing murder and attempted murder charges, according to police.
Keon Torrell Ponton, 20, of Miramar, joins at least three others accused of participating in a July 1 gang shootout in the area of Northwest Second Avenue and 52nd Street in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. The shooting happened about a week before Ponton’s arrest on extortion and sexual cyberharrassment charges.

The shooting left 24-year-old Andre Mitchell dead and two others injured.
Police said Ponton and the other suspects are part of the “Slice Gang,” a rival to Mitchell’s “Boss Life” gang.
An arrest warrant states that cellphone GPS data placed Ponton at the scene, in one of the vehicles involved.
It states that he denied involvement in the shootout.
Ponton was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Tuesday following an arrest in Broward County.
He remained in TGK without bond as of Wednesday.
