MIAMI ā€“ Miami police arrested a 53-year-old massage therapist at his Brickell employer Tuesday after they said he sexually battered a client, then offered her money to keep quiet about what happened.

According to an arrest report, police were sent to Massage Envy, located within Mary Brickell Village at 900 S. Miami Ave., after receiving a report that Jorge Cardenio Destrades Llanes digitally penetrated a 28-year-old woman while massaging her thigh during a full-body massage.

The woman told police that Destrades Llanes then offered her money ā€œto not tell anyone,ā€ the report states.

Police said she denied his cash offer; he then offered to send her money via Zelle.

ā€œ(Destrades Llanes) left the massage room, and the victim began to get dressed,ā€ police wrote in the report. ā€œ(He) then returned to the room with his phone and requested her phone number to send her money.ā€

Police said he sent $200 via Zelle but she ā€œnever received it.ā€

ā€œFurther investigation revealed that the phone number provided to (Destrades Llanes) by the victim was off by a digit and was stored in his phone with the (victimā€™s) name,ā€ police wrote.

The report states that Destrades Llanes spoke with officers, telling them in Spanish that ā€œhe felt as if (the victim) was seducing him sexuallyā€ and ā€œthatā€™s when he might have touched her vagina unintentionally.ā€

Destrades Llanes claimed that the woman asked him if he could ā€œpay for the massageā€ and he agreed and sent the $200, police said.

ā€œ(H)e believes the victim was asking him for money because he had touched her,ā€ the report states.

Police subsequently arrested him on a charge of sexual battery.

A judge found probable cause to charge Destrades Llanes and he remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond and magistrate hold as of Wednesday.
