Cutler Bay man accused of beating, kidnapping boyfriend, forcing him to buy luxury goods

It was all over victim’s ‘involvement with another man,’ police say

CUTLER BAY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police arrested a Cutler Bay man on four felony charges Wednesday after they said he beat, robbed, tortured and kidnapped his boyfriend of two months over suspected infidelity.

Police said Vincent Forgione, 24, also forced the man to buy luxury goods and withdraw money from his bank account and said his roommate joined in on it all.

According to an arrest report, it all started when the victim turned up to Forgione’s home in the 9000 block of Southwest 203rd Terrace on the evening of Nov. 15.

The report states said Forgione was “irate” due to his boyfriend’s “involvement with another man” and began yelling and throwing various objects, including water bottles, at the victim.

Police said things then took an even more serious turn: Forgione took out a handgun from his crossbody bag and began waving it at his boyfriend, all while demanding his phone and credit cards.

Authorities said Forgione, joined by his 20-year-old roommate, Angel Evans, forced the man onto the back patio where he was left in pouring rain for an hour. Police said they then forced him to kneel on the floor as he was “berated and intimidated.”

Over a four-day period, police said Forgione and Evans took the victim, “against his will,” to “various high-end stores and restaurants” and forced him to make purchases on his credit cards and withdraw money from his bank account. The report states that Forgione had the gun in his bag during the ordeal.

The victim lost about $60,000 in the forced shopping spree, police said.

“At one point during the events the victim attempted to escape but was unsuccessful,” police wrote. “Upon returning to the residence, both (men) battered the victim, causing a laceration to his head, swelling and contusions to his head, face and eye. (They) then drove the victim to his residence in Georgia, dropped him off and returned to Miami-Dade County with the victim’s vehicle.”

Authorities arrested Evans on Tuesday and took Forgione into custody on Wednesday. The latter was pictured in his Miami-Dade booking photo bearing a neck tattoo reading, “That’s hot,” the signature catchphrase of heiress and media personality Paris Hilton.

The arrest report states that Evans “corroborated the victim’s account of the incident” while giving a “self-serving statement” denying he participated in any beatings.

Forgione invoked his Miranda rights and made no statement, police said.

The men face charges of armed robbery, armed first-degree grand theft, armed kidnapping, false imprisonment with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

Both remained held without bond in Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Thursday afternoon.
