PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A flood advisory has been issued for Broward County until noon Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Miami said trained weather spotters reported minor street flooding from heavy rain in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Forecasters said up to two to three inches of rain have already fallen. An additional one to two inches of rain is expected.
"We are anticipating more rain to come after this first batch moves into South Florida," Local 10 News meteorologist Julie Durda said.
Among the cities that will experience flooding are Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miramar and Davie.
