PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Break out the champagne in South Florida; we are not under a heat advisory on Friday.
After enduring the 35th heat advisory of the year on Thursday and breaking a high-temperature record, South Florida finally turned down the heat Friday.
South Florida will experience less humidity on Saturday and Sunday. This is thanks to Hurricane Ernesto churning in the Atlantic.
As Ernesto pulls to the north, the northerly wind on the west side of the system will drag less humid air and funnel it into South Florida.
Unfortunately, it won’t be cooler air, but at least humidity levels will be tolerable.
You will want to wake up a little earlier and take the dog for an extra-long walk on Saturday and Sunday morning because temperatures will be in the mid-70s with comfortable humidity levels.
Translation- you won’t sweat after 2.5 seconds outside. Take advantage of the nice weather while it’s here. By Monday, we are back to high humidity and temperatures in the mid-90s.
