Heat advisory in effect through Saturday afternoon in South Florida

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Saturday is the second day there is a heat advisory this week with high temperatures in the low 90s, but factor in the very high humidity, and it will feel like 105 to 109 degrees in South Florida.

There will not be a big chance of storms to cool you down. Coverage will be about 40%, so there will be spotty storms in some areas of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Most areas will stay dry. Saturday’s heat advisory ends at 5 p.m.

A disturbance in the upper atmosphere will ripple by Sunday, creating a higher chance of rain. These scattered showers will be possible at any point in the day.

Prepare for the possibility of rain on Sunday morning during the Florida Panthers Parade of Champions and the rally in Fort Lauderdale Beach.
