It was a warmer and more humid start to the day Tuesday, thanks to a shift in the wind direction, but the weather has continued to deteriorate throughout the day into the evening.
Lows Tuesday morning were in the mid-to-upper 70s with a strong south wind.
According to Local 10 meteorologist Betty Davis, the main line of storms are expected to roll in Tuesday night at around 10 p.m. associated with a cold front.
A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the evening into early Wednesday ahead of the approaching cold front.
Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
A Wind Advisory has been issued, effective from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday as sustained winds are expected to reach 20-30 mph with gusts as high as 40-45 mph.
Dangerous marine and beach conditions continue Tuesday and will gradually subside Wednesday. A Gale Warning is in effect until early Wednesday morning.
Minor coastal flooding is possible Tuesday for Collier and Mainland Monroe. A Coastal Flood Statement is in effect from 7 a.m. Tuesday until Wednesday evening.
