Trump returns to Palm Beach, casts vote

PALM BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Following several campaign blitzes in battleground states, former President Donald Trump arrived in Palm Beach Tuesday morning, hours after a late rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

ā€œI just think we ran a good campaign. I had good policy. We want people to come into our country but they have to come in legally,ā€ Trump said at his polling place. ā€œWe want strong borders and we want people to come in. We want to be totally inclusive, but they have to come in.

ā€œI think it was a big issue. To me, that was the biggest issue. I may be wrong. And a lot of people said inflation ā€” inflation is a disaster. But I think itā€™s a second issue. I think the first is the border. We canā€™t allow criminals to be put back into our country or to be put into our country.ā€

The former president held the final campaign rally of his two-year-long bid for president Monday night, taking the stage after midnight and speaking until after 2 a.m., urging his voters to show up at the polls.

ā€œWith your vote tomorrow, we can fix every single problem our country faces and lead America and beat the world to new heights of glory,ā€ he said.

In his closing message, Trump dished out personal insults, even referring to former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi with an expletive.

ā€œSheā€™s a crooked person. Sheā€™s a bad person. Evil!ā€ Trump said. ā€œIt starts with a B, but I wonā€™t say it. I want to say it!ā€

Before votes are even counted, the former president cast doubt and made claims about election integrity, saying if he loses, his supporters are to blame.

ā€œIf we get out our people, itā€™s over, thereā€™s nothing they can do about it. Nice when you have that, right? You know?ā€ Trump said. ā€œIn other words, to make you feel a little guilty, we would only have you to blame.ā€

At his rally in Pennsylvania, Trump called some undocumented immigrants ā€œnastyā€ people, floating the idea of migrants having their own fighting league.

ā€œI want the migrant to go against the champion,ā€ he said. ā€œAnd I think the migrant might actually win, thatā€™s how nasty some of these guys are.ā€

At one point, Trump suggested boxer Mike Tyson should get in the ring with Vice President Kamala Harris.

ā€œMikeā€™s went through a lot, but he could fight, let me tell you,ā€ Trump said. ā€œThat guy could fight. But, can you imagine, Mike? Oh, he says, put Mike in the ring with Kamala. That would be interesting. No, but can you imagine.ā€

In recent weeks, Trump has been appealing to young male voters in a series of interviews on podcasts. And overnight, he got a big endorsement from popular podcaster Joe Rogan.

Trumpā€™s running mate J.D. Vance arrived at a polling site in his home state of Ohio Tuesday morning.

ā€œI hope people will get President Trump over the finish line. Look, I feel good,ā€ Vance said, ā€œYou never know until you know, but I feel good about this race. Hopefully, it goes as well for President Trump and me as it went for me a couple of years ago in the state of Ohio.ā€
