Republican U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and Democratic former U.S. Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell are making their final pushes for votes for the Senate seat ahead of Election Day.

Mucarsel-Powell was in The Hammocks area of southwest Miami-Dade Monday, holding a canvassing event in the area.

“This is going to be an election that will determine your future, whether we can protect Medicare and social security, whether we can reduce the cost of living protect education for our children,” she said. “It’s about reducing gun violence. It’s about tackling the climate crisis. That’s what’s on the line tomorrow and we’re feeling energized.”

Meanwhile, Scott has also held events.

On Fox News Monday, he said he was in multiple counties.

“Freedom’s on the ballot. Inflation is on the ballot. The border’s on the ballot. The military is on the ballot,” he said. “Boys playing in women’s sports on the ballot, full-time jobs (are) on the ballot. So I think we’re gonna do well because voters want a big, big, big change.”

Polls suggest a potentially tight race for the seat.
