Early voting kicks off 2 weeks before Election Day; here’s what you need to know

DORAL, Fla. – Starting Monday, early voting will run every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During these days, you can visit any voting location in your county to vote in person.

In Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties, voting booths are ready to go and tabulation bins are secured.

A total of 33 voting sites are open in Miami-Dade County.

If you want to vote by mail, that option has already been open and available to voters who requested an in-mail ballot.

You can mail your ballot back or simply drop off your ballot at a secure ballot box available at every early voting site in all three counties.

The ones already received back in Miami-Dade have been stored at the Miami-Dade County Elections Department warehouse in Doral.

From there, workers slice envelopes and verify signatures. A security guard is on watch.

“We take great measures, both from a security -- cybersecurity perspective -- and also physical,” Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Christina White said.

“We are making sure that our building is a safe space for our employees to work,” Broward Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott said, adding that anyone from the public is invited to the county’s new elections headquarters in Fort Lauderdale to see how the process works.

Results will come in on Election Day.

All three supervisor of elections in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe expect a very big turnout during these early voting days.
