MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā Miami-Dade County is holding its first sheriff election in over 60 years, with 11 Republican and four Democratic candidates competing in the Primary Election.
James Reyes was selected the Democratic nominee on Tuesday, with 46% of the votes.

Reyes will face Republican nominee Rosie Cordero-Stutz in the General Election in November.
