NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — A car crashed into the entrance doors of North Miami City Hall on Tuesday.
Sky 10 was above City Hall at 776 NE 125th St. just after 2 p.m. as the blue vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was placed on a gurney and loaded into a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck.
According to North Miami police, the driver lost control of the vehicle while backing up and struck the entrance doors of City Hall.
Police said the driver sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
“They closed everything and there were a lot of people around. Everyone was kind of running around,” Sofia Stefanskaia, who works nearby, said.
City officials confirmed that City Hall has been closed until further notice.
