Box trucks crash on Turnpike in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two white box trucks collided on the Florida Turnpike’s southbound lanes on Wednesday in Miami-Dade County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a box truck had stopped after breaking down on the right southbound lane when a moving box truck crashed into it near Northwest 199 Street.

One of the box trucks was carrying furniture and its pieces ended up on the highway, as the crash scene blocked three lanes, according to FHP.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to minor injuries after the crash.
