MIAMI – All U.S. 1 lanes have reopened after authorities shut down the 18-Mile Stretch, also known as Overseas Highway, in the Florida Keys Saturday morning.
Traffic on U.S. 1 was blocked through Southern Glades area from mile marker 126 near Florida City to mile marker 106 in Key Largo after a brush fire that was sparked by a lightning strike early Saturday morning began.
The toll on Card Sound Road was lifted while the roads were shut down.
