The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has seen a 15 percent drop in registered officials, while the Illinois High School Association has seen a 14 percent decline, Boone said. “Without contest officials, games cannot be played and student-athletes miss out on part of their high school experience,” Boone said.

Norland beat Palmetto 35-27 as their defense stopped the Tigers in the final seconds of their 5-a state semifinal. Norland will play Wakulla in the state championship game.
