A man was arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly being responsible for a hit-and-run accident, according to the Miami Police Department.

According to Miami Fire Rescue, crews responded to the crash that occurred near the intersection of Southwest 22nd Avenue and 8th Street just before 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Four people were killed and three others injured after a crash early New Year’s morning. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the violent crash happened at Northwest 79th Avenue and Flagler Street. According to FHP, the four victims, one woman and three men, were traveling in a blue Hyundai Elantra. FHP is looking into alcohol/drugs and excessive speed as a contributing factor in the crash. Officials said they are not releasing any names of the victims or those involved in the crash at this time.

MIAMI GARDENS – A driver of a dirt bike is in critical condition after being airlifted to a hospital following an accident with a vehicle, according to the Miami Gardens Police Department. Police said the accident happened along the 600 block of Northwest 199th Street. The investigation is ongoing.
