Despite those efforts, officials said on Sunday that people using the Kentucky River will keep seeing -- and smelling -- more dead and dying fish as runoff from the distillery flows into the river. So far, the alcohol plume on the Kentucky River is approximately 23 miles long, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet said in a statement on Facebook. The Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources was on the river Sunday to continue wildlife assessments and fish kill count, the agency said.

Read full article: Jim Beam warehouse filled with bourbon catches fireJim Beam via CNN(CNN) - A Jim Beam warehouse caught fire late Tuesday and firefighters struggled to contain the massive blaze, partly because of alcohol in the debris. The warehouse, in Versailles, Kentucky, caught fire around 11:30 p.m. Police Lt. Michael Fortney said a security guard called to report the fire. A second warehouse also caught fire, but that blaze was controlled. CNN reached out to Beam Suntory, the parent company of Jim Beam, for comment but has not received a response. In 2018, about 18,000 barrels of bourbon were lost when a warehouse in Bardstown, Kentucky, collapsed during building work.
