"Friends" is scheduled to depart Netflix in 2020 and have a new home at WarnerMedia's HBO Max. "The Office," meanwhile, will depart Netflix in 2021 for NBC's forthcoming streaming service, Peacock. Sarandos admitted that while he would have "loved to have kept" the titles on Netflix for subscribers "we're also about change and keeping things fresh and we haven't had 'Seinfeld.' Asked if Netflix could maintain its spending -- reportedly it's investing $15 billion on original content alone -- he was certain.

Miami-Dade police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the shooting occurred at The Office on Northeast 183rd Street. Zabaleta said two men were shot and taken to Aventura Hospital, where one of them died. NBC is taking back the popular sitcom to offer on its own streaming platform in January 2021, Netflix announced Tuesday on its official Twitter account. NBC confirmed it has secured "exclusive domestic streaming rights" for all nine seasons of the series in a news release.
