The Arizona Diamondbacks added an extra bat for the World Series, putting Jace Peterson on the roster and dropping pitcher Slade Cecconi for the matchup against the Texas Rangers.

Fellow pitcher, McMahon, was drafted in the 2nd round by the Colorado Rockies and shortstop Freddy Zamora was also taken in the 2nd round by the Milwaukee Brewers. FIU pitcher Logan Allen was selected in the 2nd round by the Cleveland Indians.
