Rodent dropping and a roach wing were found last week inside a soul food restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, according to an inspection report.

Rodents, roaches and a mold-like substance in the ice machine were just some of the violations recently found at restaurants in South Florida.

There were "roaches too numerous to count" that were found on sticky pads inside a restaurant in Broward County, state inspectors said.

Flies and old food debris throughout the kitchen were some of the issues that led to a “stop use” order at a bakery in Hallandale Beach.

Rodent droppings found inside a slow cooker, and live roaches discovered in a cooking pot were among the violations that led to a Fort Lauderdale restaurant’s temporary closure.
