A woman was caught on cellphone video trying to dodge accountability in a big way after police said she crashed her BMW convertible into a Popeyes restaurant in Miami.

Move over Kentucky Fried Chicken, Popeyes has taken over the No. 2 spot for national chicken chain.

They may have the word French in the title, but French fries are as American as apple pie.

LANTANA, Fla. – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three of four women who they believe were involved in an attack and robbery at a Popeyes restaurant in Lantana, authorities announced Friday. Brianna Toombs, 19, Chloe Arieigha Hernandez, 21, and Joanna Ceidi, 19, all of who are from West Palm Beach, were arrested on charges of robbery with a weapon and burglary with assault or battery. According to deputies, the women were in the drive-through of a Popeyes in the 7000 block of Seacrest Boulevard Tuesday afternoon when they got into a verbal argument with the cashier. Two of the women got out of the car and attacked two other employees inside the restaurant, authorities said. AdOne of the women is also accused of reaching inside the drive-through window and grabbing cash from the register.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday shortly after an attempted robbery that led to a shooting outside a Popeyes in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities said. Kareem Carter, of Miami, faces charges of attempted strong-arm robbery and felony battery. According to the arrest report, Carter alternated between punching the victim in the face and trying to reach inside the victim's pants pocket. Authorities said Carter was unable to get anything from the victim, as the victim was holding onto his pockets throughout the attack. Police said Lula warned Carter to stop beating on the victim or she would shoot him, but he ignored her.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - Police are investigating after a woman fired her gun during a robbery outside a Popeyes in southwest Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade police Detective Lee Cowart said a woman who witnessed the robbery outside the Popeyes on the corner of Southwest 112th Avenue and Southwest 152nd Street tried to intervene, pulled out a gun and fired several shots. The woman, who identified herself to Local 10 News reporter Liane Morejon only as Lula, said she was at the Popeyes getting lunch when she saw the robber beating on the victim. Richards said the woman who fired her gun did not strike the robber. Lula said this was the first time she has ever used her gun besides at a gun range.
