Pembroke Pines police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Monday morning.

A 63-year-old man was arrested on an attempted murder charge Tuesday after he attacked a fellow patient at South Florida State Hospital in Pembroke Pines, authorities said.

His mother, who was also in the SUV, was identified at a Broward School Board meeting Tuesday as Megan Bishop. PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - Authorities responded Saturday to a small plane down in southwest Broward County. According to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue, a call came in just after 4 p.m. Saturday of an aircraft down with two people on board.
