In a report released Thursday, Broward County’s watchdog agency concluded that Pembroke Park Commissioner Geoffrey Jacobs, while serving as mayor, engaged in “misconduct” when he “unlawfully” spent more than $10,000 in taxpayer money on a yacht charter for town officials and employees. His attorney is blasting the report as “petty and stupid.”

In a 287-page report released Thursday, Broward County investigators concluded that a North Lauderdale city commissioner committed campaign finance misconduct “before and after the November 2020 election.”

Officials said Commissioner Lou Sarbone actually lived on the opposite coast of Florida.
