MARATHON, Fla. – A 22-year-old Maryland woman was found dead after she became stuck in a resort window Thursday morning in the Florida Keys. Early investigation by detectives indicated that Sydney Therriault of Beallsville, Md., was attempting to get into her room at the Pelican RV Resort & Marina by climbing through the window when she became stuck and asphyxiated. Investigators said it appeared that she didn’t have a key and was attempting to make entry to her room via the window. The Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Fire Rescue were called to the scene at approximately 7:28 a.m. Therriault was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.

Delgado Munoz, 42, had been wanted by Interpol since 2004 on a murder charge in Mexico. He was detained by deputies and turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Police have charged Kincaid with two counts of fleeing and eluding, grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving on a suspended license.

Abraham Amado Acosta, 19, was arrested on charges of possessing a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, driving with a suspended license and possession of a pill without a prescription. Linhardt said Traffic Enforcement Unit Deputy Edward Swogger discovered Acosta's driver's license had been suspended in March for failure to pay previous traffic citations and took him into custody. While searching Acosta's car, the deputy found a loaded Glock 43 handgun under the front passenger seat and one oxycodone pill in the sunglasses holder in the headliner, Linhardt said. Authorities said the gun had been reported stolen in July from a home on Summerland Key.

Ricky Atkins is charged with two counts of interference with custody, a third-degree felony. Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies said one of the girls called the Sheriff's Office on Sept. 1 and said she and another girl were taken to the motel by Atkins to be used for prostitution. She told deputies that they witnessed other crimes taking place at the motel as well. The two runaways, who were reported missing Aug. 15, were found in Sarasota County and were returned to the custody of the Florida Keys Children's Shelter.
