Heisman Trophy hopeful Cam Ward threw for 400 yards and five more touchdown passes, three to Xavier Restrepo on a record-setting day for both of them, and No. 5 Miami erased a double-digit deficit for the third time this season to roll past Duke 53-31 and stay unbeaten.

The win ensured Miami (6-5, 4-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) will be bowl-eligible.

The NCAA has granted an extra year of eligibility to all athletes in 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Three Miami Hurricanes were honored by the conference for Miami’s win at NC State. Quarterback D’Eriq King was named ACC Quarterback of the week. He became only the third quarterback in conference history with a 400-yard passing and 100-yard rushing game. Wide receiver Mike Harley was named wide receiver of the week. He scored two touchdowns, including the game-winning 54-yard dash to the end zone in Miami’s 44-41 win.

Zonovan Knight had a 100-yard kickoff return to put NC State (4-3, 4-3) on top in the third quarter. NC State led at halftime on the strength of Hockman’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Cary Angeline with 2:49 left. NC State: Angeline, a redshirt senior, has caught at least one touchdown pass in five of the Wolfpack’s games. With a victory, NC State would have been a candidate to climb back into the rankings. NC State: Hosts Florida State next Saturday.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami senior wide receiver Mike Harley was named ACC receiver of the week. Harley finished with career-high totals in every category in Miami’s win over Virginia on Saturday. Harley had 10 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown. Harley started the game by catching a 43-yard touchdown on the second play from scrimmage. They have a bye week before returning to action on Nov. 6 at NC State.

11 Miami outlasted Virginia 19-14 on Saturday night. Harley’s big night for Miami (5-1, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) started with a 43-yard touchdown grab on the Hurricanes' second play from scrimmage. “It was a really tough game,” Virginia coach Bronco Mendenhall said. Virginia tied the game at 7-7 on its first drive, with Tony Poljan hauling in a 2-yard scoring pass from Armstrong. Virginia, however, was out of time-outs at that point and Miami punted the ball away with only 23 seconds left.
