The city of New Orleans tried to protect its famed French Quarter from a terrorist attack years before a U.S. Army veteran rammed a truck into crowds of New Year's revelers on Bourbon Street, killing 14 people.

The list of students police officers arrested over a gun at Miami Killian Senior High School has increased to five.

Police say Michael Rodriguez and a 15-year-old student got into a fight in a bathroom at Miami Killian Senior High School on Friday morning during the attempted sale of a weapon.
