A 24-year-old man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges after he pulled out a bag with two guns inside during a fight that happened just outside Miami Northwestern Senior High School, authorities said.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami Northwestern Senior High School’s administration launched an investigation into alleged unauthorized football training during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a statement Miami-Dade County Public Schools released Friday night. Daisy Gonzalez-Diego, a spokeswoman for MDCPS, said the school’s head football coach, Max Edwards, has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. “Further action may be taken against others who may have been involved in this unsanctioned event,” Gonzalez-Diego said. “The school is in the process of communicating with parents of students who may have participated.”The announcement comes hours after Gov. Ron DeSantis lifted restrictions to allow youth activities in the state.

The team is led by Traci Young-Byron, who has been the school's dance instructor and fine arts teacher for over a decade. Even though the dance team is considered social media famous, Young-Byron tells her girls that school always comes first. Her main purpose of the dance team is to provide necessary life skills, not just dance skills. "We do a lot of different things to get them prepared for life post high school," Young-Byron said.
