Charities are asking for your help as Florida recovers from two devastating hurricanes.

The full breadth of Hurricane Ian's destruction is still coming into focus a week after it hit southwest Florida.

Hurricane Ian’s fury destroyed the bridge connecting Matlacha, a small fishing town in Lee County, to Pine Island and the Cape Coral-Fort Myers area.

Residents of Matlacha, located about 13 minutes from Sanibel, are trying to pick up the pieces on Thursday and Friday after Hurricane Ian ripped through their entire community.
