Deciding to start a family is a big decision for any couple, but it’s even more nerve-wracking when the mom-to-be has a health condition that involves the heart. After all, her heart will be pumping for two.

On Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) announced that WPLG-TV President and CEO Bert Medina has been named recipient of “The Board of Governors” Award.

Local 10 is Walking for Victory in 2024. Several members of our staff will be participating in the seventh annual Marfan Foundation walk, taking place Jan. 28 at T.Y. Park in Hollywood.

February is a month to raise awareness about a rare connective tissue disorder called Marfan syndrome, which can have devastating effects on the cardiovascular system.
