Former Major League Baseball star Alex Rodriguez showed his skill on the hardwood, making a half-court shot to win a Bucknell student $10,000.

Billionaire media magnate and former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg has agreed to partner with Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez on their in-dispute attempt to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to a person with knowledge of the deal who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because details were not being made public.

The Minnesota Timberwolves ownership dispute is moving into mediation.

Rodriguez, 45, a retired Major League Baseball player, earned $455.2 million. He played 22 seasons and his highest single-season salary was $33 million. Jennifer Lopez’s ex-fiancee, a father of two, said Coconut Grove is his “hood.” He said he came from “very modest” beginnings.
