Danny Presti tried to drive away from his bar, Mac's Public House, as deputies were arresting him for serving patrons in violation of city and state closure orders, Sheriff Joseph Fucito said. Deputies attempted to arrest Presti as he left the bar early Sunday, but Presti got into his car, struck a deputy and kept driving for about 100 yards as the deputy was left hanging onto the hood, Fucito said. The injured deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Authorities said the bar was still serving patrons Saturday night even though it was ordered closed entirely after Presti's earlier arrest.

Carvalho said there was a delay in the reporting of the Bay Harbor Islands case and the links it had to students. Parents received notice the Bay Harbor Islands employee interacted with students at Ruth K. Broad/Bay Harbor K-8 Center. The Florida Department of Health recorded the case of the Bay Harbor Islands employee as a Broward County case because of where she lives. It’s unclear if the children were in contact with the COVID-19 patient before or after the diagnosis.

Collie Walker, 39, was last seen this morning in the area of Southwest 118th Avenue and Southwest 16th Street. Police say he left on foot and went in an unknown direction. Walker, who is 6′ 1″ and approximately 135 lbs., is wearing red and black pajama bottoms, a white top and gray socks. Anyone with information on Walker’s whereabouts is urged to call the Pembroke Pines Police Department at 954-764-HELP.
