Federica Brignone has edged out teammate Sofia Goggia by the smallest possible margin for an Italian 1-2 finish in a women’s World Cup downhill.

The party at St. Anton’s Krazy Kanguruh après-ski bar lasted into the early hours of Monday morning when the U.S. Ski Team’s newest standout celebrated her first World Cup victory last weekend.

On a stellar day for the United States ski team, Lauren Macuga got her first World Cup win in a super-G and Lindsey Vonn impressed again in fourth place at St. Anton, Austria.

Cornelia Huetter of Austria navigated the tricky and steep terrain to win the first-ever women’s World Cup downhill held on the Birds of Prey course.
