Miami-Dade police arrested a 72-year-old retiree after they said he stabbed another man in a gym locker room Thursday — apparently, it all stemmed from the victim’s use of a chair.

A former LA Fitness employee in Miami-Dade County was arrested in Orlando weeks after he was accused of using a barbell to hit a gym member over the head.

A gas explosion was reported Saturday at The Fountains shopping center in Plantation. Fire departments from Plantation, Davie, Lauderhill, Coral Springs, as well as Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue all responded to the scene. Plantation Fire Rescue confirmed on Twitter that there are multiple patients. "A bomb just went off," a man says in a video sent to Local 10 News. The video shows heavy damage to the LA Fitness and nearby buildings at the shopping center on South University Drive and Peters Road.
