SUNRISE, Fla. – Police officers said they had to use a K-9 officer to bring a suspect into custody, but witnesses who recorded the arrest on video said that's when things appeared to get out of control. Cellphone video captured by witnesses shows the moments Sunrise police took a suspect to the ground near the 1900 block of Northwest 58th Terrace. Witnesses shouted for the officer to release his K-9. After several warnings, the K-9 was released, but some people who spoke with Local 10 News believe the officer may have lost control of his K-9 partner. Police said Roper was arrested after officers found a substance believed to be marijuana in one of his pockets.

MIAMI – Federal agents say a K-9 has detected 13 kilograms of cocaine inside a commercial passenger plane at Miami International Airport. But, CBP canceled that offer, saying they cannot show the cocaine or speak any further on the matter at this time because they don’t want to compromise the investigation. Agents would not disclose what airline’s plane the drugs were found on or when exactly the cocaine was discovered. CNNANAHEIM, California (CNN) - An Anaheim police K-9 was attacked by a pit bull Wednesday while taking part in a search for a stabbing suspect, KCAL reported. Daron Wyatt, the incident began just before noon as officers were searching for a stabbing suspect. He eventually came out, but so did a large pit bull, which charged the K-9, prompting an officer to use a Taser gun on the pit bull in order to subdue it. The pit bull was turned over to Orange County Animal Care. The man taken into custody is not believed to be connected to the stabbing, Wyatt said.
