Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered Thursday morning on the side of the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami.

A suspect accused of leading police on a high-speed chase in Miami-Dade County in August was re-arrested Thursday after removing his ankle monitor, authorities confirmed.

A Miami Gardens woman has been arrested and faces a charge of attempted murder in connection with a violent kidnapping and assault that ended with the shooting of a victim on the Julia Tuttle Causeway last month, police confirmed Wednesday.

Miami Beach police are investigating after a woman who had been shot was discovered Tuesday morning on the westbound shoulder of Interstate 195.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A car veered into the water off the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami Beach, causing a temporary traffic slowdown Friday afternoon. The rapper was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries and is now at home recovering. Camacho said the rapper immediately made a U-turn back toward Miami Beach and flagged down an officer on 41st Street. Millord told authorities he was coming from a private party in Miami Beach at the time and had not had any altercations with anyone prior to the shooting. Flores said he and Millord were together at a star-studded party on Miami Beach only minutes before the rapper was shot.

MIAMI – Two women were killed Monday morning when their car crashed into a concrete barrier wall while the driver was trying to head north on Interstate 95 from the Julia Tuttle Causeway, authorities confirmed. According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho, one of the women was driving a silver Nissan sedan when she lost control of the car while making a right turn on the entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 95 from the westbound lanes of I-195. Two women were killed the morning of Jan. 6, 2020, when their silver Nissan sedan crashed into a concrete barrier wall. The passenger was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where she died. The northbound ramp to I-95 was closed after the crash and reopened shortly before 11 a.m.

MIAMI – The Venetian Causeway east bridge is currently closed, according to reports. The bridge is closed because the road is currently stuck in an upright position and won’t come down. Drivers are advised to use the Julia Tuttle Causeway.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A woman was hospitalized following a crash on the Julia Tuttle Causeway. It happened just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, causing major backups on a busy weekend night. Troopers said the driver of a red Nissan lost control of their car and hit a guardrail while traveling in the eastbound lanes near Alton Road. The passenger of that Nissan was thrown from the car.
