Zulma Guillot Pelleg appears to slap a woman outside the courtroom after a man who killed her husband in a crash in June 2018 accepted a plea deal in the case. After the sentencing, the Franco family released a statement through their attorney that read:“On behalf of Joseph Franco and the Franco family, we want to express our sincere condolences to the Pelleg family. That’s what you always want for me,'” Guillot Pelleg said, reading from letters written by her children to their late father. Guillot Pelleg was initially in a coma and Pelleg died from his injuries.

The 34-year-old attorney was with his two daughters, 2-year-old Aviva and 6-year-old Ariella, and his wife, Zulma Guillot Pelleg. "After all this time, I still haven't fully processed that he is not coming back," Zulma Guillot Pelleg says of her husband. "I don't remember anything, because we were walking and the car hit us from the back," Guillot Pelleg said. "It's very hard for me to see my family destroyed, so for me, nothing will be fair enough," Guillot Pelleg said.
