A volcano near Alaska’s largest city is showing new signs of unrest, with experts saying the likelihood of an eruption at Mount Spurr in the next few weeks or months has increased.

Not one but two volcanoes on the same island in Alaska’s Aleutian chain were showing signs of unrest on Friday, rocked by seismic activity.

A swarm of earthquakes have been recorded below the summit of a remote Alaska volcano, a possible indication of an impending eruption.
