A potential “prolific serial killer” was arrested Friday in Orange County after he was connected to the deaths of two women over the last two months, according to Sheriff John Mina.

A 37-year-old Florida mother of four is dead and detectives accused her estranged husband of killing her and hiding her body for over a week.

Deputies released a body-cam video on Thursday showing deputies arresting a 19-year-old man who had shot and killed a woman before shooting four others Wednesday in Pine Hills, an Orange County community northwest of Orlando, according to deputies.

A man riding in a car with his cousin shot and killed another passenger then returned to the same neighborhood near Orlando hours later and shot four more people, killing a journalist covering the original shooting and a 9-year-old girl.

He says the deputy stopped the man because the motorcycle he was driving had a tag that was curled up and difficult to read. Mina says the deputy thought the man reached for a weapon. He fired once, hitting the man in the leg.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Sheriff's officials in Orlando say a 25-year-old man was shot in the shoulder after holding several people captive in the booking area of the jail. The incident unfolded Saturday night in the Orange County Jail. Sheriff John Mina said during a news conference that Eric Jefferson Stanley Jr. slipped off his flex cuffs and pulled a gun inside the booking area. He held several people hostage before officers and deputies outside the building shot him in the shoulder, authorities said. Stanley faces multiple charges, including armed kidnapping, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent killed three family members, including two juveniles, and then himself at his Florida home, authorities said Thursday night. Deputies learned the family members hadn’t been seen since last week, so they entered the home and found the four bodies, he said. Investigators weren’t immediately identifying the victims or the agent, who worked at the Orlando International Airport. Mina said the dead included a woman in her 30s, a middle-school-age boy and a high-school-age boy. Officials didn’t immediately say how the victims were related to the agent.

ORLANDO, Fla. - A school resource deputy in Florida has been fired after he was caught on video pulling a girl's head back as he took her into custody, authorities said. In body camera footage released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the school deputy approaches the girl, grabbing her arm and putting it behind her back while saying, "You're the one who started this s**t in school. "I'm tired of this s**t," the deputy says as he pulls back the girl's head, which is wrapped with a scarf. "I am extremely upset, disappointed and outraged by the conduct of our deputy sheriff in this instance," Mina told reporters. "I want the community to know that this type of behavior is not going to be tolerated at the Orange County Sheriff's Office."
