Preparations for Election Day have been underway for quite a while in Broward County.

South Florida voters flocked to early voting sites this past weekend, eager to cast their ballots before the final cutoff.

Sunday was the last day of early voting at any of the 29 designated locations in Broward County. The voter turnout was at 59.6%.

There are just five more days left of early voting in South Florida ahead of next Tuesday’s General Election.

Joe Scott is the Supervisor of Elections in Broward County and he’s in the thick of it this week as early voting is underway.

The elections department in Broward County reported low turnout Tuesday for the Primary Election.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Broward County has a new Supervisor of Elections. Democrat Joe Scott defeated Republican Catherine McBreen on Election Night, AP is projecting. Scott will now be in charge of elections for the 1.2 million registered voters in Broward County. Snipes resigned from the role after she was suspended for her handling of the 2018 Midterm Elections. He graduated from West Point Academy and was awarded the Bronze Star after serving a tour of duty in Iraq.
