An attempted afternoon traffic stop on Interstate 95 led to a high-speed, wrong-way chase down Ives Dairy Road in northeast Miami-Dade Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A Miami Gardens man is now facing a felony charge.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the shooting took place in the express lane south of Hallandale Beach Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon, not far from Ives Dairy Road. A man in his 20s behind the wheel of a gray Ford was traveling southbound when a driver in a 2006 or 2007 black Infiniti M45 with temporary tags fired at him. Authorities say someone inside this black Infiniti M45 fired at a car on I-95 near the Miami-Dade and Broward County border. AVENTURA, Fla. – Two Aventura schools were placed on lockdown near Ives Dairy Road after one of the school’s police officers heard gunshots fired in the area. Miami-Dade Police said that they located gun shell casings in the area and as a precaution they put two schools on lockdown. Just a few miles away and not long after the officer heard the shots, a man showed up at Aventura Hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand. Florida Highway Patrol investigated and reported that the shooting occurred on the eastbound lanes of Ives Dairy Road in the area of N.E. One of the schools that was on lockdown was Madie Ives K-8 Preparatory Academy on N.E.

AVENTURA, Fla. - A driver is dead after a Brightline train collided with an SUV in Aventura on Friday. The crash occurred at Dixie Highway and Ives Dairy Road, just across from the Aventura Mall. Police said the female driver of the Mercedes-Benz SUV died in the crash. It's not known exactly where the collision took place and how far the vehicle was pushed down the railroad tracks. A portion of Dixie Highway in the Aventura area was closed as authorities investigated the fatal crash.

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A crash involving a tractor trailer was blocking three lanes on Interstate 95 southbound in Miami-Dade on Wednesday afternoon. The tractor trailer rolled over off the road near Ives Dairy Road. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was at the scene.
