MIAMI, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins are releasing former first-round pick Isaiah Wilson just eleven days after acquiring him from the Tennessee Titans in a trade, according to multiple reports. NFL Media says Wilson was hours late for his physical, showed up late for his COVID-19 onboarding process, and didn’t show up after committing to voluntary workouts. The trade sending the offensive lineman to Miami was made official on March 17 after being agreed to on March 9. Wilson was arrested and charged with DUI in September.

DAVIE, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins have reportedly made a deal in hopes of bolstering their offensive line. The Fins have traded for Tennessee Titans Offensive Tackle Isaiah Wilson, according to NFL media. Tennessee drafted Wilson in the first round of the 2020 draft (29th overall), but he was suspended for part of the season and spent part of the year on the non-football injury list. In exchange, the Fins and Titans will reportedly swap undisclosed draft picks.

With each day bringing more positive results, that return is in jeopardy.

Wilson was arrested Friday night and booked into the Davidson County Jail before being released on a DUI charge early Saturday morning. According to the arrest affidavit, Wilson told the officer he was having issues with a back tire, which caused the crash. 29 pick overall in April out of Georgia currently is on the reserve-COVID list for the second time. A player on the reserve-COVID list either tested positive for COVID-19 or is quarantined after being in close contact with someone who has the virus.
