Police arrested a Fort Lauderdale man Thursday after investigators found a missing man’s body inside a business located in an office tower earlier in the week. The 73-year-old victim, police said, had been dead for three days.

A career criminal from Fort Lauderdale is facing several charges after police said he kidnapped, beat and tried to rob and sexually assault a healthcare worker near Broward Health Imperial Point hospital, according to court documents obtained by Local 10 News on Tuesday.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Several cars were broken into in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood sometime overnight Sunday. Police said 19 vehicles were burglarized in the Imperial Point neighborhood. Two victims told Local 10 News that nothing was taken from either of their cars. The victims think whoever broke into the vehicles was looking for weapons.
