Eight green sea turtles stunned by the cold during a rare snowfall in Florida have been released back into the Atlantic Ocean.

An arctic blast that brought a rare snowfall to northern Florida last week left green sea turtles as far south as St. Augustine suffering from a condition known as cold stunning.

A rehabilitated sea turtle has been released back into the Atlantic Ocean from a Florida beach.

A crowd cheered and took photos as two loggerhead sea turtles slowly made their way through the sand and into the Atlantic Ocean on Monday after rehabbing at a Florida marine life center.
