Water near Arizona Air Force base is tainted in latest case

The U.S. Air Force says it will be distributing bottled water until at least April to thousands of residents and business owners near Luke Air Force Base in suburban Phoenix in the latest case of fire firefighting foam from a military base contaminating a nearby community's water supply. Luke Air Force Base announced this month that studies showed high levels of contaminants had affected drinking water for about 6,000 people in roughly 1,600 homes as well as a few neighboring businesses. Gen. Gregory Kreuder, commander of Luke Air Force Base, said a study showed the chemicals may have affected “supply wells that provide drinking water” to properties nearby. The chemicals also have been discovered around the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
Murray, Hopkins lead Cardinals past Eagles 33-26
He had a lot of good moments, but couldn't lead the Eagles to any points on their last two offensive drives. Murray threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns, while Hurts responded with 177 yards passing and three touchdowns. The Cardinals also missed a great opportunity when Hopkins fumbled at the Eagles 8 after catching a short pass from Murray. Washington (1-1) finally scored a touchdown with 12:20 left in the fourth quarter when Dwayne Haskins hit Terry McLaurin for a 24-yard score. The Cardinals' revamped defense had a big day, holding Washington scoreless until Dustin Hopkins hit a 24-yard field goal late in the third quarter. "Darryl had such an impact on the players he coached and everyone he worked with throughout his entire career," Rooney said. "He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather, and it is difficult to put into words the grief our entire team is going through right now." Drake joined the team in January 2018 after serving as wide receivers coach for the Arizona Cardinals from 2013 to 2017 and the Chicago Bears from 2004 to 2012, according to the team's website.
